We contribute to society by providing scholarships to students of all background and organizing educational symposiums.

 

We celebrate Indian culture through an annual festival of lights celebration at Balboa Park and a cultural program of dance and music at the Poway Center for Performing Arts.

34th Annual Gandhi memorial lecture and awards ceremony will be held on August 19th in UCSD Atkinson auditorium. Ambassador Jamal Khokkar, President, Institute of the Americas will deliver the address. Venerable Lama Tenzin, the Dalai lam's representative for global peace will also speak.

21 outstanding students from 19 San Diego area high schools were chosen irrespective of national origin  to receive the recognition and they will receive cash awards  of over $60,000 contributed by people of India origin and US Congressional certificates for area Congressmen and Congress Woman.

SDIAS has awarded to date over $600,000 recognizing over 600 outstanding scholars of San Diego County.

Sai Yandapalli will present his essay on Non-violence this year.
